City of Easley Public Works IMPORTANT Notice of Change of Service

The City of Easley, SC has installed a new, high tech way of locating, marking, and categorizing standard piles of residential curbside debris left out for pickup. The new system lets the sanitation truck drivers electronically mark debris you leave out for pickup on the day they pick up your garbage. Later that day, the locations are sent to a mapping system that allows the debris crews to drive directly to the piles of debris marked. The debris crews will use these maps the following day to pickup your curbside debris in a much more efficient manner. This system will dramatically decrease the miles that debris crews will have to cover in a month and will save tax dollars in a number of ways. 

The change to your service is as follows:

Instead of curbside debris being pickup up the same day as your garbage, it will be picked up the day after your garbage.

Public Works Department Mission

The City of Easley provides a wide array of public services that are vital to the efficient daily operation of the city. From curbside recycling efforts to maintaining storm drainage lines, to enforcing City ordinances pertaining to solid waste and city right of ways. All of the dedicated personnel of the Public Works Department work diligently in their mission to constantly maintain the quality of life that residents of Easley have come to expect.

Public Works Administration

The Department of Public Works serves as the backbone of the city's everyday services for the residents of the City of Easley. This organization takes pride in service to its customers through the dedicated years of experience from many of the leaders within the organization to help form a working knowledge of Easley 's most basic infrastructure. The various divisions of the department make up the backbone of many of the daily quality of life issues. 

The future of the Department of Public Works rests within the hands of its leaders along with the desires of its customers to help formulate a vision for years to come. Each member of the team within the Public Works Department is integrally involved in meeting the needs of the residents of the City of Easley. This is done through dedicated training programs to increase efficiency and reduce cost of services on a daily basis.
