 Planning and Development Department Operating Protocol

 On Monday, April 27th, the City of Easley Planning and Development Department began allowing citizens back into the office lobby area on a limited basis.  We are continuing to follow procedures to protect employees and citizens from COVID-19 virus by limiting social contact. Our goal is to ensure that all citizen’s needs are still met while also ensuring the safety of everyone.  Permit applications will be accepted in person though it is preferred that all submittals take place via email or fax when possible.  Payments will be taken over the phone by calling 864-855-7900.  It is encouraged to pay via credit/debit card as these are easily sanitized if you must pay in person.  Our Inspector will be working his normal hours to ensure that construction can continue to progress.  Any zoning questions or ordinance complaints can be submitted on our website or by emailing our Zoning/Code Enforcement Officer.

Citizens and businesses wishing to contact the Planning and Development Department with questions regarding Ordinances, Code Enforcement, etc. can now use a new online and phone application that sends requests directly to the Department. Please visit the "Report a Violation" tab on the left hand side of the top of this page.  Be sure you are contacting the correct department. Questions or issues regarding Public Works or Streets & Sanitation can be submitted on the Public Works page, NOT through Planning & Development.  This is a new system for us and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we learn this technology and make improvements.  


With Yard Sale season upon us, please be aware that the only signs allowed are one at each end of your road and one in your yard.  No signs on poles or feather flag banners are allowed.  Also, it is ILLEGAL to place signs on the road/street rights-of way.  Telephone/utility poles are considered rights-of way and are private property.
