The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) ensures transparency and accountability by providing the public with access to government records. The City of Easley is committed to open government and strives to make information readily available to residents, businesses, and stakeholders in accordance with South Carolina law.

FOIA allows individuals to request access to public records, including documents, emails, reports, and other materials created or maintained by the City in the course of official business. While most records are accessible, certain information may be exempt from disclosure to protect privacy, public safety, and legally privileged communications.

Our goal is to process requests efficiently, fairly, and in compliance with all applicable regulations. We encourage users to be as specific as possible when submitting requests to help us provide accurate and timely responses.
