We would like to remind you and your families about the policies in place at the Larry Bagwell Gym. These policies are designed to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone in the community. Please take a moment to review the guidelines below.
Monthly Gym Hours and Open Gym Schedule
Please refer to the monthly Larry Bagwell Gym Operating Hours and Special Events Calendar to see when Open Gym is available each month.
Membership Card Requirements
To help ensure the safety and well-being of all members, the following age requirements apply to the facility.
Gym Memberships:
- Members 18 years of age and older may apply for and maintain an individual membership.
- Members under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian complete and sign the membership application on their behalf.
- Ages 6 and under do not have to have a membership if their parent or legal guardian has an active membership and must be present at all times.
Gym Access:
- Members under the age of 15 and younger must be accompanied and actively supervised by a parent or another responsible adult (18 years of age or older) at all times while using the facility. The supervising adult must remain inside the gym for the duration of the minor's visit.
- Adults supervising a minor are not required to have an active membership as long as they are not participating in activities or utilizing the facility amenities.
- Minors may not be dropped off or left unattended. A parent, legal guardian, or responsible adult must remain present at the facility at all times.
The City of Easley reserves the right to request proof of age and deny or suspend facility access if these requirements are not met. Failure to correctly identify yourself is subject to gym membership being revoked.

- Valid driver’s license
- Utility bill with name and address
- Voter registration card
Membership Fees:
- $30.00 membership fee, regardless of residency status.
- $10.00 annual renewal fee.
Important Note: A membership card is required to access the walking track, fitness classes, or gym. Items such as driver’s licenses, cell phones, keys, or wallets will not be accepted in place of a membership card.
Supervision Policies During Open Gym
- All members must scan their membership card at the front desk before using the walking track or entering the gym.
- Ages 16 and Older: May enter the gym without a parent or legal guardian.
- Ages 0 to 15: Must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian with a membership at all times while using the walking track or in the gym.
Equipment Use Policies
- Personal sports equipment may be brought into the gym during Open Gym hours.
- The front desk will not provide rental equipment.
- Only basketballs, volleyballs, and pickleball equipment are allowed during Open Gym.
Facility Rentals:
The fees and policies listed above apply only during public Open Gym hours. If you are interested in renting the gym for private use, please refer to our facility rental form for additional details and pricing.
The City of Easley reserves the right to modify the Larry D. Bagwell Gym's operating hours, close portions of the facility, or temporarily suspend access as needed to accommodate City programs, special events, facility rentals, maintenance, repairs, or other operational needs. While every effort will be made to provide advance notice of schedule changes, circumstances may require immediate adjustments.
